Kiss is the touching of one's lips to another place, which is used as an expression of love, affection, respect, greeting, farewell, good luck, sexual desire and etc. Parents kiss their children forehead to show their love or to comfort them. In western countries, people greet one another by kissing on the cheeks.
There are many kinds of kisses; Butterfly Kiss, Earlobe Kiss, Eskimo Kiss, Freeze Kiss, Melt Kiss, Fruity Kiss, Hickey Kiss, Tiger Kiss, Vacuum Kiss and many more... and of course the most popular kiss is the French Kiss.
However, according to BBC News (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/asia-pacific/7772902.stm), there was a case happened in Guangdong, China last year, a young Chinese woman of 20-something was left partially deaf following a passionate kiss from her boyfriend. When she arrived at the hospital, her left ear was completely lost the hearing. The doctor who treated the girl in hospital explained, the kiss reduced the pressure in the mouth, pulled the eardrum off and caused the breakdown of the ear. A strong kiss may cause an imbalance in the air pressure between two inner ears and lead to a broken eardrum. Anyway, the young woman was expected to regain her full hearing within about 2 months.
Sounds scary?? Hahahaha... becareful the next time you kiss your partner/spouse. You would not want to hurt him/her or even yourself, right?? LOL!!!
